FAQ AND RULES

QUESTIONS WE ARE (VERY) FREQUENTLY ASKED

You read pages of craft beer descriptions…you got this.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?

Tuesday – Friday // 2:00 pm – 8:30 pm (last booking starts at 8p)

Saturday // 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm (last booking starts at 8p)

Sunday //  12:00 pm – 4:30 pm  (last booking starts at 4p)

To further explain our hours, for example, our last booking on Tuesday starts at 8 pm. We stay open until that booking is done. If there is no 8 pm booking, we close the doors at 8:30 pm. We take walk-ins Tuesday thru Sunday as space and staffing allow.

Reservations are highly recommended and the only way to guarantee an axe throwing lane. We do accept walk-ins based on availability Tuesday – Saturday. The busiest times are Friday and Saturday nights.

We are proud to be first and only indoor axe throwing venue in Peoria.

HOW MUCH IS AXE THROWING?

Booking

In short, adults are $30 per person, military $27pp, and students $25pp. But the best way to calculate your cost is to use our booking system due to taxes, fees, and group discounts. Click on Book Now in the menu to view the schedule of availability and ya know, book. Your reservation includes a dedicated AxeMaster, safety briefing, practice throws, and fun games. Spectators always welcome at no charge. Bookings are based on time, so your 90 minutes of throwing begins at your booking time, not when you arrive.

You have 3 payment options when you book online – you can pay the booking in full, pay a deposit, or choose to split the payment by sending an email telling all your friends to pay up. Due to COVID – 19 restrictions, we HIGHLY ENCOURAGE PAYMENT IN FULL.  This will limit contact and lines at check-in.

Walk-In

We accept walk-ins based on availability Tuesday – Saturday.  There are no discounts for walk-ins.

30 min // $15 plus tax per person

60 min // $25 plus tax per person

90 min // $35 plus tax per person

All bookings are non-refundable.

WILL WE THROW WITH OTHER PEOPLE?

When you walk-in or book the PUBLIC AXE THROWING EXPERIENCE, you are booking into our public lanes which means you may be paired up with another group.  We limit public lanes to 10 people. So if your group is fewer people, you may be paired up.  During COVID times, we do our best to minimize this. The likelihood of playing with others is higher during our busy times, ie. evenings on weekends.

Private booking:

If you would like a Private Lane, book all 12 spots (the max for a Private Lane).  All 12 spots are yours to fill or not – the price is the same.

IS AXE THROWING SAFE?

Throwing axes are similar to other target sports.  Players must follow the instructions and safety rules explained by our staff and use common sense.  Our experienced and highly trained AxeMasters are with you at all times and monitor your throws for safety and guide you through the entire process.

Only players that sign our waiver and go through our safety course are allowed to enter the throwing area.  Players must follow specific instructions from their AxeMaster or risk being that guy/gal that is asked to leave.

CAN MY KIDS THROW AXES?

Kiddos who are ages 10 and up, can listen and follow safety rules are allowed to play.  Student discounts are verified by date of birth and/or college ID.

Again, children under 10 years old are not allowed to throw. All ages are welcome in the facility (beware: it can get pretty noisy!).

CAN I BRING A LARGE GROUP OF KIDS?

Aren’t you brave? Players 10-17 years old must have an adult present with them AT ALL TIMES. Waivers for minors are required and can ONLY be signed by the Parent/Guardian. Waivers are found here, in your booking confirmation email, or onsite.

We highly suggest a 5:1 minor to adult ratio in your experience.

A couple of examples…

Your group has (2) 13yr, (3) 10yr, (1) 15yr. We suggest 2 adults playing.

You have the following minors: (1) 11yr and (2) 16 yr. We suggest 1 adult.

WHAT ABOUT LARGE GROUPS OR CORPORATE BOOKINGS?

Check out our TEAMBUILDING page for more information on large groups and corporate teambuilding.

CAN I BRING MY OWN AXE?

When you throw axes, they can break. We allow you to bring your own axe but it must follow WATL standards and pass a safety inspection. We are not responsible for theft or damage.  You can also bring your own axe to LEAGUE.

DO YOU GUYS SERVE FOOD?

YES! We have an updated and expanded menu. We serve some great wings, flatbreads, salads, wraps, pizza and more. Please, no outside food. Check out our MENU.

HOW ABOUT DRINKS?

Contrary to a lot of the press we received, we are not just a bar…  we are an axe throwing venue where you can have a drink as the responsible, grown-axe adult you are.

Beer, wine, mix drinks and soda will be available for purchase. We have a great selection of drafts and with a few bottles, check it out on our MENU with UNTAPPD. Depending on how you act, your alcohol purchases may be limited while playing. We do not limit your alcoholic purchases unless your behavior warrants it. Of course, you must be 21 years or older to purchase alcohol.

If you appear to be intoxicated when you arrive, we refuse service to you. Yes, we have and we will. Everyone’s safety is our top concern.

CAN WE BRING OUR OWN FOOD AND DRINK?

That’s a nope… except for birthday cake, especially if you share. There are exceptions for large, private parties when you book out the facility.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?

You need to arrive before the start time, my friends. We suggest 10-15 minutes. You need time to sign waivers, get a drink, etc. We also go over safety, rules, and how to throw. Your allotted booking time starts at the time of your booking. We are unable to wait if you or part of your group is late.  Therefore you may have less than 90 minutes if you are not ready to go at the booking start time. Please plan ahead for traffic and parking concerns.

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

Love watching videos instead of reading? We got you.

Take your pick. There are smaller parking lots (The Block) and on-street parking around the building. On busy weekends, you may have to park a ways away. Be prepared to walk! The entrance is on Washington Street with our logo on the door. Once you step into the lobby, you see a door for Gone Axe – head up the stairs and we will greet you at the check-in counter.  If you need handicap parking, please park in the alley off of Maple St. Need an address? Head over to the CONTACT page.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?

Comfortable clothes are the best. Think “hip lumberjack” if you want to blend in with the AxeMasters. Also, closed-toe shoes only. Yes, you need to have your feet covered. Other than that, we provide everything else you need.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Cancellations and reschedule requests can be made 24 hours prior to your event booking. Cancellations made prior to the 24 hours receive a store credit to be used for a future booking. Cancellations after 24 hours forfeit any payment. In addition, any guest count changes need to be communicated 24 hours in advance. Any overpayment is turned into store credit.

You may cancel or reschedule by calling (leave a voicemail!) or email.

There are no refunds.

DO YOU HAVE GIFT CERTIFICATES?

Yes, we do. Find more detail on our GIFT CERTIFICATES page.
